"I don’t want to hear it.”

day #5, process caps/gif and thoughts to come after I win the war against my failing internet. I have too much to say about drawing Eddie Izzard and Raúl Esparza’s faces for it to handle, evidently.

Guess who. Close, yet? Maybe after the inks.
I’m posting the WIP of this because I’m incorporating this piece into a text post of my drawing process and also my approach to character illustration and drawing in general, thoughts and so on, if anyone is interesting in reading that sort of thing. if not, the finished piece will be posted later!

was playing the “how tired can I be and still draw” game and… lost, so for day #4 here’s an older piece featuring a speculative scenario wherein rather than disemboweling Chilton and removing things from him, Gideon stitches things on to “transform” him into wind-able clockwork. such symbolism, yes.

bonus: speculative sketch of IF GIDEON HAD A FAKE BIONIC LEG that simulated spinal function enough that he could sort of walk. you know what, I just do the drawing, I don’t gotta explain myself. I mean, I can, but unless I get asked I’m sticking with “I drew it because I could.”

Gideon week day #3… influence, and also illustrating one of the requests I got in February (“Chilton and Alana dissecting Gideon”).
I’ve been feeling fairly insecure about my work the past few days so this was done pretty quickly — but I appreciate all of those who are bearing with me despite me being something of a broken fanart record.

Daytime reblog.

Gideon week day #2… except I didn’t get it posted until day #3, which means there will be at least one double update. I just did the self-indulgent thing of drawing a character I love in clothing I wish I owned — though I also think Eddie Izzard would do very well to combine this look with some of his skirts/dresses. Way cute.
Version without stubble, too.

Another reblog for the daylight hours.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I’ve been hearing daytime reblogs are helpful when art is posted at late hours such as I am whimsically wont to do; so! This one is a few days older but still.

Interested in thoughts!

Dear followers, I have a question for you — something I’ve been pondering on due to my tendency to post art up at very late hours. Would it be appreciated if I were to reblog such artwork again during the day, or is that unnecessary? Would it make a difference?

some pieces that were drawn for and given to Eddie Izzard when I was in Vancouver to see the Force Majeure show. I won’t go into the experience but it was a great show and I feel lucky and inspired to have been there.

Was going back through my tags and I don’t think I ever actually posted this here — just on my personal journal.

Et voilá. :)
